Pride

This weekend was interesting. It played out a little differently than I thought it was going to. Plans changed at the last minute and instead of two of my really close friends going with me, a rather new friend went. While she's an incredibly sweet girl, we are just completely different. We enjoy different things and we have very different humorous sides. I did introduce her to the Planet podcast and that made the five hour drive much easier. We went to a club Friday night and had a pretty good time. Saturday......was a weird day for me. My emotions were all over the place all day.....I had moments of feeling out of place, proud, self-conscious, like I didn't belong there, that I fit in better with my straight friends than my gay friends. I guess I really don't know how to explain it....like I said, it was weird and it surprised me.

Today, I'm fucking exhausted, my legs hurt from walking about 10 miles on Saturday, and I'm getting a cold. Tomorrow, when I'm feeling better maybe I'll have a more positive feeling about this weekend.
